Umami Services
Tasting menu with optional wine pairings
– all guests are served individually a smaller portion for several courses paced out through the night. Each course can be paired with a specific wine to bring out the depth of flavors to the forefront.
Family style
– dishes being served on larger platters to share between guests. Only a few dishes are presented at a time to allow each guest to enjoy as much as they’d like, at their leisure.
Cocktail Party with passed Hors d’oeuvres
– add custom cocktails to the evening accompanied by savory bites to get the night started while the guests arrive.
Buffet style
– a variety of dishes presented in different stations.

What to expect
When will the Chef and team arrive at the location?
On the day of the event, Chef Jonn and his staff will arrive to the location early to set up.
Is the food prepared before arrival?
Umami the 5th Taste cooks fresh on site in order to have a full restaurant experience for the guests.
Where will Chef and team be in my home?
Chef Jonn requires a space to set up. This can be in the kitchen using the indoor range, or outside using the grill.
Do I need to provide cooking equipment?
Umami comes fully prepared with all cooking equipment and coolers, and just needs access to outlets and refrigerator space for any leftovers.
Who does the cleanup after?
Once the evening has concluded, Umami the 5th Taste leaves the space clean and the clients full and thoroughly satisfied.
What is the booking process and how do I pay?
Once the menu is approved, an invoice is sent. The invoice includes cost of services, and deposit. 40% of the total is due for a deposit in order to secure the date for the event. This deposit is refundable if cancelled. Refer to booking and cancellation.
